Judging from this trailer of The Rite, it's going to be a damn scary movie! Stories that dwell into religious and demonic territories always creep me out!

The Rite Movie

The Rite is an upcoming supernatural thriller directed Mikael Hafstrom and based on the book "The Rite: The Making of a Modern Exorcist" by Matt Baglio which follows a Catholic priest through the latter's training to become an exorcist. The film is starring Colin O'Donoghue, Anthony Hopkins, Alice Braga, Ciaran Hinds and Toby Jones. Warner Bros will release the Rite movie on January 28, 2011.

Plot of the Rite:
"The film tells the story of a young man who joins a seminary and is soon recruited into the Vatican's newly formed Exorcism School. There, he confronts the demonic and discovers his true faith by facing the devil."

Movie Cast:
- Colin O'Donoghue in the lead role the young priest
- Anthony Hopkins as a mentor style character, an unorthodox priest and expert in exorcisms

I don't know much about the lead actor Colin O'Donoghue, but knowing that Antony Hopkins plays the role of his mentor in the film, I definitely want to watch this horror movie: sign me up for the Rite!
